Keep San Juan Capistrano Charming
My name is Chip Nelson and I have stepped up to run for City Council in San Juan Capistrano. Our community in District 1 needs leadership that is qualified, passionate, and willing to put in the work. I promise to use my business background to support responsible spending and challenge overdevelopment of our charming equestrian community. I will vote to adequately fund law enforcement and first responders in our community.
On Election Day, voters will only vote for the candidate running in the district in which they live.

Councilman leadership must take a strong stance against the challenges in District 1 including the unwanted 13 acre Lithium battery facility proposal in the Saddleback Church property adjacent to the NW Open Space, Homeless challenges near The Village of Putuidem, public safety in our higher density living areas including parking and vandalism in the Trabuco creek Trail.
Please take your time to read my letter to the community and stop by my FAQ page for more information. If you have any other questions you can always reach out to me directly.

As a husband and father of three, the safety and prosperity of San Juan Capistrano are my top priorities. Our children need a safe place to grow up, and the opportunity to succeed. I will work with law enforcement and first responders to ensure our home and our community is a safe and great place to live
